Location

Located in the recently renovated Vallianou Square in the heart of Argostoli, the Aenos luxury boutique hotel is your perfect base for all sorts of exciting discoveries.

Walk along the palm tree-lined coastal promenade, and maybe even catch the ferry to Lixouri at the small quay at the end. Visit the verdant botanical gardens, the well rounded Archaeological Museum and Korgialenios Library with its vast collection of rare manuscripts, books and photographs. Catch a play at the gorgeous Municipal Theater “Kefalos”, explore the restaurants and cafes at the pedestrianised Lithostroto or venture into the outskirts of the city, to admire the Fanari lighthouse –a small round building with white Doric columns.

At the end of the bay of Argostoli, beneath St. George’s castle, Koutavos Lagoon is the feeding ground for the famous Caretta Caretta turtles. Katavothres as well as Makris and Platis Gialos, are within a short distance from the city too and feature among the most famous beaches of Kefalonia. There are other bathing spots in the area, such as Gradakia and Kamaroules –and they are heavenly too. For more options, the city is linked to Lixouri and its reddish, more secluded beaches with daily ferries running every hour in the high season.
